As part of one of the largest linked ski areas in the world, Morzine offers access to 650km of skiable terrain, making it easy for every skier, from first-timers to pros, to find their perfect runs.
For beginners, Morzine is a true paradise. The resort has several “Zones Débutants,” or beginner areas, which create a safe and supportive space to learn. The Pleney Beginner Zone, right at the top of the Pleney gondola, features a gentle slope with a handy enclosed rolling carpet lift—ideal for mastering the basics before tackling tougher runs. The Nyon Magic Carpet area is another great option, offering a less crowded spot for beginners to enhance their skills.
Intermediate skiers will love the variety Morzine offers, with tons of blue and red runs nestled among peaceful tree-lined slopes. The Pleney area is famous for its diverse runs, so skiers can challenge themselves while staying with their friends. Over in the Nyon Ski Area, you’ll find exciting options, too, with red pistes like Aiguille Rouge and Les Lanches promising some thrilling descents.
For advanced skiers looking for a real challenge, the Chamossière region won’t disappoint. It features steep slopes and tough trails like the black run Les Creux. If you’re after some off-piste excitement, Morzine has accessible areas in Nyon and Chamossière, plus the well-known Swiss Wall (‘Le Pas de Chavanette’), which offers adrenaline-pumping powder adventures. Just make sure to explore these areas with a knowledgeable guide for safety!
