Get to know Ortensia

Hello! I’m Ortensia Braga, but you can call me Tencha. Skiing has been a part of my life since I was 4 years old, when my dad first taught me how to glide down the slopes. Growing up in the beautiful Gressoney, Valle D’Aosta, Italy, I was surrounded by the majestic mountains that inspired my journey in skiing. I competed as a racer in Super-G and Downhill events across Italy until I was 18, achieving some great results. After that, my passion for the sport led me to become a ski instructor.

In my downtime, I love exploring the thrill of off-piste skiing and embarking on skinning adventures. One of my fondest memories is skiing in the breathtaking landscapes of Japan. My decision to become a ski instructor was fueled by my deep passion for skiing and the joy it brings me to share this love with others. There’s nothing quite like helping someone discover the magic of the sport.

I have a knack for languages, which allows me to teach skiing in English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Outside of the winter season, you might find me surfing the waves, practicing yoga, cycling, or indulging in my interests in music, cinema, and travel.
