Luca Daveri

Hello! I’m Luca Daveri, but you can call me Dave. My journey on skis began when I was just three years old, thanks to my dad and an inspiring ski instructor. Growing up in the stunning Ossola Valley, skiing became more than a sport; it was a way of life. By the age of 12, I was racing in slalom, giant slalom, and super G, achieving between 90 and 100 points in my first two years. Now, I enjoy carving smooth medium-radius turns on the piste and exploring the thrill of freeride skiing and ski mountaineering.

My best skiing memory? That’s a tough one, but I’d have to say spending holidays at our mountain house and the exhilarating moment of winning my first race. These experiences fuel my passion for skiing and are why I became an instructor. I believe that working with your passion is a dream come true, and I love sharing this excitement with my clients.

As a Ski Instructor (Maestro di Sci) and a First-Level Ski Coach, I’ve been teaching for two seasons, and the upcoming 2024/2025 season will be my third. I teach at the beautiful Val d’Isère resort, guiding skiers in piste skiing, off-piste skiing, and ski touring, all in English. What I love most about being an instructor is the diversity each lesson brings; no two sessions are the same, and each one is an opportunity to learn and teach something new.

Outside of the skiing world, I spend my summers working in my uncle’s sweet shop. I’m also passionate about mountain sports like climbing, trekking, and mountaineering, as well as water sports like wakeboarding, wake surfing, and surfing. Football and beach volleyball are also on my list of favourite activities.

I’ve never had a year without skiing, and I plan to keep it that way!
