Getting to know Mie
Hi, I’m Mie. I’ve been passionate about skiing since my dad first introduced me to the slopes at the tender age of three. Growing up, I eagerly awaited every holiday that promised snowy adventures, and as I developed my skills, I found myself drawn to the world of ski instruction at 15. Becoming a ski instructor felt like a natural fit, allowing me to share my love for skiing with others while continuously improving my own technique.
I hold Danish BSI2 and PSI1 qualifications and have been teaching at the incredible St Anton resort for the past year. I specialize in piste skiing and am happy to teach in both English and Danish. One of my most cherished memories is convincing my sister to tackle her first black slope. Witnessing the triumph in her eyes was truly rewarding and encapsulates why I love teaching—seeing others find joy and freedom on the slopes is incomparable.
Beyond skiing, I have a diverse array of interests. I’ve lived in four different countries, which has enriched my perspective and adaptability. During the summer months, I enjoy sailing, running, and spending time with friends, plus traveling whenever I get the chance. Athletics has also been a significant part of my life, having competed in various events over the years.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to start my undergraduate degree in medicine in 2025. Balancing my love for skiing with my passion for medicine is an exhilarating challenge that I am ready to embrace.
