Tignes Advanced Piste Performance Courses

Tignes

Tignes, part of the Espace Killy ski area, is renowned for its varied and extensive pistes. The resort’s unique blend of amazing skiing, reliable snow conditions, and breathtaking views make it an incredible base for any ski course.

The wide range of blue and red pistes provides a great base to build foundational skills and let the skis run as we increase the speed during the week. Pistes like the Palafour offer a great mix of steeper pitches into flatter sections, perfect for working on carving. Blacks like Johan Clarey let you test your skills on steeper pitches.

The course doesn’t include accommodation, but Tignes offers a wide range of options, from budget-friendly apartments to luxury chalets. So, you can choose the type of accommodation that suits your needs and budget. However, unless you have a car, we don’t suggest staying in Tignes les Brevieres.

What to Expect

Throughout the week, you’ll focus on assessing your current skills and comparing them to those of an ideal skier. Your coach will help you build on your foundational skills before introducing new ideas and techniques to enhance your performance.

  • Personal Performance and Goal Setting – Understand where you are now and set Goals.
  • Keeping Balance – How to use your ankles, knees, and hips to maximum effect.
  • Understanding and Strengthening Steering movements – Slowing it down before we speed it up.
  • Outside Ski to Outside Ski – Moving Early, Perfect Placement.
  • Increasing Performance – Building Grip and bending the Ski.
  • Maximise Versatility – Adjusting the radius of turns while maintaining Performance.
  • Output Focus – Performance Indicators, how to train yourself.
