New Generation Ski and Snowboard School have grown a little over the last 25 years in both size and spirit. We now have instructor teams in over 20 resorts across the French, Swiss and Austrian Alps. As well as an awesome off-hill support team working behind the scenes in the UK and in France. They’ll ensure that your experience with us runs as smoothly as clockwork, from our first contact during the booking process and through to your time in the resort.

Our UK reservations team are based remotely. They’ll be on hand to answer all your queries and guide you through the booking process year-round.

Then, over in the snowy Alps, in Courchevel, are our overseas support staff, who will be there to help with any in-resort queries and bookings and keep everything ticking over. So, you only need to worry about whether to pack goggles or sunnies. And where you can find the best vin chaud.

Meet The Instructor Team

With over 20 ski resorts to our name, there are far too many ski and snowboard instructors to fit onto one page.

But if you select the country below you can take a sneak peek at the instructors in that resort.

Meet The Leadership Team

TOM

I’m the managing director and one of the founders of New Generation 25 years ago.  My job is to coordinate the different parts of New Generation and ensure we’re moving in the same (and hopefully correct) direction. I started out as an instructor and have always loved skiing and teaching. I get to visit many resorts across the Alps during the winter. I spend time with our brilliant teams and ski with guests, many of whom have become friends. I always wanted to work in a positive environment with great people and have a dream job.

When I first joined the team as an instructor in Courchevel 1850, we were just beginning to understand the huge benefits and opportunities of being a community of like-minded people with shared goals and passions. My role is to continue to develop the quality of our operations, community and work environment, and my hope is for you to see that in everything we do.

I have fantastic winters visiting our teams and schools, and I love meeting the people who ski with us, hearing their enthusiasm for learning at all levels and having new experiences in the mountains.

As Director of bean-counting, it’s my job to ensure that monetary resources are utilised effectively across New Generation. Before joining New Generation, I worked in the catering industry for many years, specialising in fine dining restaurants, rail catering, and catering franchises. Despite working alongside some fantastic Michelin-starred chefs, I have learned nothing from them. None of my friends would recommend sampling my culinary skills!

I only started skiing as an adult, when I needed a change from working in the UK. I now enjoy both skiing and snowboarding but still have plenty of room for improvement of both! I used to work full-time for a travel company, working winters in Courchevel and summers in the Ardèche. Many of the New Generation team here were already friends/ well known to me. I joined the Ops team in 2014 and now live permanently in the mountains. I have been in France since 2007 and love it!

My role is to ensure that you, our guest, have as much support as we can possibly give you. Whether that is advice on the correct ski pass to purchase or to recommend the best raclette restaurant on the slopes, the team and I are always happy to help.

Coming from Manchester, I decided to swap the rain for the sun and moved to the Languedoc. Realising that my skin is too fair for 40°C summers, I decided the snow might be a better fit and haven’t looked back since.

Learning to ski as an adult, New Generation taught me everything I know, and I’ve fallen in love with the sports, the Alps and the school. We have a fantastic team, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it.

My role is to oversee the ski school scheduling to ensure we keep delivering the lessons that everyone loves! I am also part of the Customer Support team, so I am here to support our guests and instructors year-round.

I grew up with a strong connection to the outdoors, camping and hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. I love the freedom that being in the mountains brings and having a job that allows me to incorporate it into my lifestyle.

Before joining the office team, I trained with New Generation as a ski instructor and went on to teach in Italy and Australia. My love for the Alps then brought me back to the 3 Valleys, where I now live during the winter. Outside of work, I’ll be climbing, ski touring or dragging my friends/dogs/anyone who will join me out on a hike!

Being born and raised in The Netherlands (that small flat country at the other side of the sea of England), my parents took me on a holiday to Austria when I was about 7 years old. And I fell in love with the mountains and I said to my father ”Daddy, when I’m older, I will live in the mountains”.

And when I got older I went climbing and hiking in Austria and Italy every year and in 2010 I signed up for a stage to climb the Mont Blanc. And than… I fell in love again. Love at first site with my High Mountain Guide! Six months later, I moved to France and I’ve lived here ever since. And when your husband is a Mountain Guide, you need to know how to ski. So I learned to ski 5 years ago. In summer I like to go walking with my dog, biking and I really love climbing and Via Ferrata.

In The Netherlands I worked as an audit controller for an insurance company. After a few years living in France I really started to miss the office live and the contact and working with others. So I applied at New Generation to use all my language skills.

Marketing & Communications

Joined in 2019

My role is to manage our social channels for our ski school & instructor training centre. To keep our website looking fresh, relevant, fun and educational. Alongside that, I reply to feedback, write blog posts, make videos and ensure we have effective communication between our team and our clients.

I absolutely love living in the mountains, whatever the season. When I’m not at my laptop, you’ll find me out camping, ski touring, biking or hiking. Challenging myself and discovering new places is what initially attracted me to skiing. Having done some ski instructor qualifications myself, I can use this knowledge to be effective at work.
