Introduction to BASI Level 1

Course Prerequisites and Preparation

Before You Start

Before taking the BASI Level 1 course, students should:

  • Confidently ski parallel on red runs
  • Be able to make rhythmical short turns at a steady pace
  • Be able to carve long turns on green or easy blue slopes
  • Be a minimum of 16 years old
  • Have completed at least 16 full weeks of skiing

Online Preparation

BASI provides online courses designed to equip learners with the fundamental knowledge of BASI technical and teaching methods. Complete these courses via your member area before attending the 4-day course.
