The New Generation St Anton Ski School meeting points are at the top of Gampen. Our team will be easy…
Our Adaptive Ski Lessons cater to diverse needs, ensuring everyone can enjoy snowsports. We’ll make sure that each ski lesson is personalised just for you, with one of our friendly and experienced instructors there to guide you every step of the way.
Firstly, we check the skier’s goals before they arrive, which helps when planning lessons. It’ll also enable us to recommend the right equipment for the highest level of comfort and independence.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all when it comes to Adaptive Lessons. We take the time to customise each lesson to meet your exact needs and preferences. Whether you have a child looking for a fun learning experience with high speeds and excitement or an adult seeking in-depth knowledge to be skilled enough to explore the mountain independently. We’ve got you covered.
Our team of expert instructors are highly qualified and experienced, and we’re confident that we can match you with the perfect instructor who can help you achieve your goals.
Our role is to help break down barriers and help you make the most of your holiday. Our adaptive lessons aim to do just that, and we love to share our passion for the mountains with everyone.
There are a huge number of equipment options for adaptive skiers. Which option is best for you will help us guide you as to which resort and ski instructor is best suited for you.
Mono-Ski: This involves a single ski with a molded seat on top, allowing the skier to sit while using outriggers for balance and steering. It’s suitable for those with lower limb disabilities1.
Bi-Ski: Similar to the mono-ski but with two skis for added stability. It can be used with handheld or fixed outriggers and is ideal for individuals who need more support3.
Tandem Ski: Designed for two people, where one person sits in front and another stands behind to steer. This is useful for those who need assistance1.
Tri-Ski: Features three skis and handlebars for steering, providing a wider base for those with balance and coordination challenges1.
Outriggers: These are used to enhance balance and control, available for both seated and standing skiing positions1
Disabled Access AdviceThe American-style adaptive gear gives skiers independence. Equipment like Mountain Man, bi-unique, and mono-ski are common. We can talk more about these options based on your ability. Guests can control the skis despite limited movement, enabling a new sense of independence.
Feeling secure with us eases pressure, letting everyone enjoy skiing or snowboarding. Boosting confidence is key to maximising fun. That’s our main focus.
