The best time to visit Avoriaz is from mid-December to early April, with January to March offering the most reliable snow conditions. Spring skiing in late March and April can also be delightful due to milder temperatures and longer daylight hours.

Geneva Airport Switzerland is the closest airport to Avoriaz at just 90 kilometers away and has many frequent flights to the UK. Other nearby airports include Lyon and Grenoble aswell as Chambery, however this airport offers less interms of choice in flights.

Yes. Morzine and Avoriaz are connected directly via the Prodains cable car. Alternatively the super Morzine cablecar followed by the Zore then Serrasaiux chair lifts will take you from Morzine town centre to Avoriaz, however the ability to ski green runs will be required for this route

As a pedestrianized resort, Avoriaz uses horse-drawn sleighs for transport within the village.

Avoriaz features a variety of accommodation options, primarily self-catered apartments and high-rise chalets with ski-in/ski-out access. There are also a few hotels and luxury residences. Many accommodations offer family-friendly amenities and packages.

Avoriaz offers a vibrant nightlife, with plenty of bars and clubs such as Le Yak Disco, La Folie Douce, and Globetrotters Cafe. The après-ski scene is lively and centrally located, making it easy for visitors to enjoy the evening festivities.

It takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes dependent on road conditions and snowfall. For other destination airports the transfer will take slightly longer, Chambery 2h30m, Grenoble Airport 3h and Lyon St-Exupéry Airport 3h10m.

Shuttle buses from Geneva are 25-50€ per person, or you can take a private taxi.  There are also shuttle bus services from Lyon, Chambery and Grenoble, but for the higher price of between 60-100€ per person.
