Avoriaz is right in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area. Besides amazing skiing, it’s famous for its unique architecture that blends perfectly with the stunning landscape. Sitting at 1,800 meters, it’s the highest village in the area. This car-free resort, developed in the 1960s, quickly earned a reputation for its innovative design and eco-friendly practices. Today, it’s a top choice for skiers and snowboarders from around the globe, known for its dependable snow and varied terrain.

You can pick from luxurious chalets, cosy apartments, and stylish hotels, many of which offer ski-in/ski-out convenience. The resort has a fantastic range of ski slopes for all skill levels. Beginners will love the gentle green and blue runs that wind through the village, while more experienced skiers can tackle the extensive red slopes. For those seeking a thrill, Avoriaz has challenging black runs and off-piste options, including the notorious ‘Swiss Wall’ just across the border.

Getting to Avoriaz is a breeze, with Geneva Airport just a short transfer away. The resort is well-connected by road and has convenient parking.

Avoriaz is nestled in the heart of Portes du Soleil, a sprawling and magnificent cross-border ski area that connects 12 resorts in France and Switzerland. Avoriaz gives you access to over 600 km of slopes catering to all skill levels.
