Get to Know Fips

Hi, I’m Filippa Olsen, but you can call me Fips! I’ve been passionate about skiing since the age of 5, learning from ski instructors and my dad, with the Salzburger Berufsschilehrer & Snowboardlehrer Verband shaping my skills. Although I grew up in flat Denmark, family vacations in Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, and France fueled my love for alpine and off-piste skiing. One of my cherished memories is the moment everything clicked after becoming a ski instructor, giving me the thrilling sensation of flying down the slopes.

Becoming a ski instructor felt like a natural step, as skiing is not just a sport but a source of immense joy and happiness for me. I believe that the more you improve, the more fun skiing becomes, and I’m dedicated to helping others experience that joy by enhancing their technique and skills. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients‘ happiness as they progress.

Beyond skiing, a surprising fact about me is that shortly after graduating school, I worked in a hospital, drawing blood and conducting ECGs.

When I’m not on the slopes, I keep active by playing tennis, a sport I played at an elite level for seven years. I love traveling, spending time with friends and family, and recently, I’ve begun exploring the ocean through diving. You can catch glimpses of my adventures on Instagram @filippa.olsen.
