Get to know Hjalte

Hi, I’m Hjalte. I am originally from Denmark so growing up, I didn’t live in the mountains, but my family ski trips sparked a lifelong love for the sport. I started skiing at 10, learning the basics with the help of a Swedish ski instructor, but it wasn’t until my teenage years that my passion truly ignited.

At my school in Denmark, there was a ski program, where I discovered the thrill of freestyle skiing. This led me to explore alpine skiing across Europe and Canada. Since then, my skills have rapidly evolved, and I can’t get enough of the slopes.

My favourite moments are Bluebird days on the mountain and freshly groomed pistes—there’s nothing quite like it, especially when I can share that experience with others.

Teaching gives me the opportunity to pass on my experiences and help others fall in love with skiing, just as I did. My goal is to make every lesson fun, rewarding, and unforgettable, ensuring that you leave the slopes feeling more confident and inspired.

When I’m not skiing, you’ll find me out in nature fishing, or playing sports like beach volleyball, spikeball, or even climbing.

I recently graduated from Aarhus University with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, with a minor in Event Culture.

I’m here to help you master key techniques, refine your skills, and enjoy your time on the slopes. Whether you’re hitting the slopes for the first time or refining advanced skills, I’m here to make sure your time on the mountain is as fun and memorable as possible. I can’t wait to help you achieve your goals and share my love of skiing with you!
