Really enjoyed the afternoons with him

"We had Daniele as a guide for our two kids for 3 days and they really enjoyed the afternoons with him. Whilst allowing them some freedom to ski in powder and in the park he also focussed on their technique and after three days they were carving much more confidently, skiing faster and in more control and really stepped up a level overall. They also loved their time, great guide and he was very good with the kids. Highly recommended!! "

Get to know Dani

Hi, I’m Daniele Buio, but you can call me Dani. Growing up in the picturesque town of Rovereto in Italy’s Trentino Alto-Adige region, skiing has been a part of my life since I was a toddler. My mother, a former competitive skier herself, was my first teacher and instilled in me a passion for the slopes. I started skiing at the tender age of 2 and quickly found myself drawn to the thrill of competition. Over the years, I competed at both national and international levels, with Slalom and Giant Slalom being my favorite disciplines. One of the highlights of my career was winning a silver medal at the Grass Skiing World Championships, a moment that still fills me with pride.

After years of competing, I transitioned to a career as a ski instructor three years ago. I teach at the beautiful resorts of St Martin de Belleville and Val Thorens, where I share my love for skiing with others. Whether it’s piste skiing, off-piste adventures, or race training, I enjoy helping my students improve their skills and gain confidence on the slopes. I teach in both English and Italian, making my lessons accessible to a wide range of learners.

Skiing early in the morning, when the snow is untouched and the slopes are quiet, is one of my greatest joys. I also relish the challenge of off-piste skiing, especially right after a fresh snowfall. In the summer, I switch gears and compete as an athlete for the Italian national grass skiing team, racing and training from May through September.

Beyond skiing, I indulge in hiking and mountain biking, which keep me connected to the mountains I call home. I’ve been fortunate to receive positive feedback from my clients, who commend my teaching style and the progress they make under my guidance. Seeing my students, whether young or adult, become more confident and skilled skiers is incredibly rewarding.

I’m currently finishing my degree in sports science, continuously expanding my knowledge and expertise to better serve my students. I’m passionate about passing on everything I’ve learned from my competitive days to those who share my enthusiasm for skiing.
