Professional, polite, on time and courteous throughout

"Our instructor, Francesco, was professional, polite, on time and courteous throughout and we saw a marked improvement in everyone's skiing over our 5 lessons. He was capable of training different skill levels at once and also made the call to separate the group by skill level, later on, so the more in-need could be focussed on. Ultimately, this was best for everyone's enjoyment of the holiday and the slopes in general."

Get to know Francesco

Hey there! I’m Francesco Rey, often known as Checco, and skiing has been part of my life since I first put on skis at age three. Growing up amidst the breathtaking Italian Alps, right beside the Bielmonte ski resort, skiing quickly became my way of life. By four, I was diving into the competitive scene, fuelled by my family’s and coaches‘ encouragement.

While I excelled in slalom racing, a major crash at 20 led to an unexpected pivot in my career. This setback didn’t dampen my passion; instead, it propelled me into teaching. There’s nothing more rewarding than sharing my love for skiing and seeing students light up as they conquer their fears on the snow.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me adventuring off-piste or enjoying the thrill of a snowpark session with my friends. The best memories are made carving through fresh powder and sharing laughs along the way.

Off the slopes, my world revolves around travelling and embracing new cultures. I love open sea swimming, playing poker, and engaging in a friendly game of paintball or soccer. American football also captures my enthusiasm year-round.

I proudly hold the Italian maximum level qualification for ski instructors, specialising in piste skiing, off-piste skiing, and race training. For seven years, I’ve been guiding students across resorts like Avoriaz, Morzine, and Les Gets, offering lessons in English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
