Get to know Maria

Hi, I’m Maria. I started snowboarding at 12, and before long, this led me to compete as a semi-professional in freestyle and national races.

I became an instructor in 2008. My first experience teaching snowsports was actually helping my friends learn how to snowboard.

After earning my ski instructor certificate in Austria, I shifted my focus to skiing and now proudly hold the Staatlich geprüfter Skilehrerin und Skiführerin (Certified Austrian Ski Instructor and Ski Guide) qualification, along with the Landes Snowboardlehrerin certification.

I’m based in the incredible resort of Lech and my favourite snow sports memory is my first-ever powder run on a snowboard. When I’m not on the slopes, you’ll find me looking for adventure in other ways. In the summer, I run my own windsurfing school, where I work as an instructor. I also enjoy mountain biking, kite surfing, and even downhill longboarding. Outside of sports, I have also completed two Master’s degrees, one in Economics and the other in Business Management.
