Get to know Vanya
Hello, I’m Vanya. I’ve had a lifelong love for the mountains and the sport. My skiing journey began at the tender age of four, thanks to my dad, who taught me the ropes near our home in the beautiful mountains of Slovenia. For 12 years, I competed in various skiing disciplines, with giant slalom being my favourite.
There’s nothing quite like the thrill of skiing, whether it’s on-piste or venturing off the beaten path, and some of my fondest memories come from my first skiing holiday with my family. It’s this passion for skiing that drove me to become an instructor. I love being outdoors, breathing in the fresh mountain air, and meeting people from all walks of life.
I hold Carte Pro and CTT qualifications and have been teaching for 16 enriching years in the stunning resorts of Avoriaz, Morzine, and Les Gets. I specialize in piste skiing, race training, and adaptive skiing, and I’m happy to instruct in English.
Outside of the winter months, I work as a physiotherapist, a field I pursued with a Master’s degree in sport and a degree in physiotherapy. I stay active through cycling and hitting the gym, and I find relaxation in the art of crocheting.
