Tignes Off Piste Courses

Tignes

Tignes, part of the Espace Killy ski area, is renowned for its varied and extensive off-piste terrain. The resort’s unique blend of diverse terrain, reliable snow conditions, and breathtaking scenery makes it an incredible base for off-piste courses.

The resort has everything from vast open faces to challenging couloirs and hidden powder stashes, making it the perfect playground for experienced skiers and snowboarders. If you know where to look, there is also some incredible tree skiing.

Our Expert courses here go far beyond skiing the classics. You’ll get to see the resort from a different perspective. Skiing less common variations of runs and exploring little known areas.

The altitude ensures reliable snow conditions, and a large amount of the off-piste is quickly and easily accessible from the lifts, with limited hiking.

The course doesn’t include accommodation, but Tignes offers a wide range of options, from budget-friendly apartments to luxury chalets. So, you can choose the type of accommodation that suits your needs and budget. However, unless you’ve a car, we don’t suggest staying in Tignes les Brevieres.

What to Expect

You’ll spend a week exploring incredible terrain, guided by our experienced, local team. Our Expert off-piste courses are primarily focused on guiding, but our team will give you personalised feedback as you. They’ll chat with you about topics like.

  • Personal Performance Awareness and Goal Setting
  • Refinement of Steering movements
  • Off-piste and Freeride skills
  • Terrain, snow and line tactics
  • Technical and tactical skills for skiing steeper slopes
  • Technical and tactical skills for skiing gullies and couloirs

You won’t be doing drills or watching demos, but they will try to help you ski more purpose. So you can build an understanding of the terrain.

Requirements:

  • Fitness level – Able to ski for 6 hours (with a break ) in off-piste and variable terrain. You can stand back up by yourself after a fall.

Who is it For?

This course is perfect for skiers who:

“We did an off piste course with Pascal. It was excellent, we found some great nuggets of fresh powder and Pascal knew exactly what he was doing and where to go. Great guy all round and was a pleasure to ski with! Thank you New Gen and Pascal will definitely be back and would highly reccommend.”

Gabriella Pistol

“Smooth and easy process from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward, the communication throughout was great, and our teacher Paulo was even better.”

Nii-Ashiquaye Hammond
