Flying to Lech
These airports are the most conveniently located for travelling to Lech.

Innsbruck is by far the closest major airport to Lech, which is only 116km away. It is the most popular airport for travellers heading to Lech as it offers multiple transport options, including private transfers and shared shuttle buses, as well as a large variety of flights to and from the UK.
Friedrichshafen airport is the second closest to Lech at just 127km away. Compared to other airports featured it does offer a limited range of flights with only weekly London flights available. despite this it could work well for select travellers.
Zurich is another popular choice for travellers heading to Lech. As Zurich is a larger airport than Innsbruck, it hosts a larger range of flights and, due to its positioning, is less likely to suffer from cancellations.

Lech by Car
Driving from Calais to Lech typically takes 10 hours to cover the 1,030 Kilometer journey, depending on traffic and road conditions. The advantage of driving is the lack of luggage restrictions and the possibility of an extra day of skiing during a week’s holiday. According to Rometorio, a one-way trip from Calais to Lech will cost £137 to £197 in fuel alone, depending on driving factors. When combined with toll expenses and vehicle mileage, this option can be quite costly.
Lech by Train
Unfortunately, there is no direct train to Lech. However, there are trains from both Innsbruck and Zurich to nearby St Anton am Arlberg. In St Anton, taxis can be taken directly from the Station, with the journey to Lech taking 25 minutes and costing around £50.
From Innsbruck:
Innsbruck City Centre is just a one-hour and eight-minute direct train ride from St Anton. From the airport, a short taxi ride will take you directly to Zurich train station. This will take around 8 minutes and cost about £20. Alternatively, it is possible to take the bus on line 404 from Innsbruck airport to Innsbruck HBF. This will take slightly longer than the taxi but will be significantly cheaper, costing around £2.
From Zurich:
Like Innsbruck, there is a direct train from Zurich city centre. Zurich airport is connected to the city centre via a 9-minute direct train to HB Zurich. After a change of platforms, a second train will take you directly to St Anton in 2 hours and 21 minutes. In total, this trip will cost around £55 from the airport to the slopes.
