What lift pass do I need in Val Thorens?
Most of our lessons in Val Thorens require the Val Thorens lift pass.
If guests plan to explore other parts of the 3 Valleys outside of lessons, to resorts such as Courchevel and Meribel, it will be worth purchasing the 3 Valleys lift pass. However, this is at the discretion of our guests, and we advise that you are able to ski Blue runs confidently to get the most from this pass.

Snow Insurance / Carre Neige
Snow insurance, known as Carre Neige, can be purchased for €3.70 per day or €50 for the entire season. The insurance is directly linked to your lift pass and covers mountain recovery and emergency medical cover in case of an accident. Mountain recovery without insurance is known to be very costly.
Snow Insurance will cover
- Search, Rescue and Evacuation,
- First medical transport costs
- Repatriation assistance
- Reimbursement of emergency medical expenses,
- Reimbursement of ski lift passes.
