5 STAR PLUS

"I had a 2 hour snowboard lesson with Alex on Thursday 1st Feb. I can't praise his instructor skills enough. the aim of the lesson was to build my confidence and it was a total success. He was great at using techniques and exercises to help pull me out of bad habits and get me to feel when I was falling back in to them. His communication and coaching skills were spot on and I can't recommend him enough. Well worth the money spent and I can now enjoy the rest of my time on the mountains without panicking especially on icy runs. 5 STAR PLUS"

A fantastic snowboard coach

"10 stars. Alex Luciano is a fantastic snowboard coach. He was observant in seeing what was tedious for me when gearing up & showed me easier way to do it. He also took in consideration of my knee and let me take my time. His demonstration was flawless, smooth and controlled, so awesome. His instructions were very clear. He gave good analogies. He also reminded of my hips whenever when I’m on toe edge. He also explained mechanics of the board to help me understand like carving and going in a extension of a circle., I feel very safe as his teaching is progressive and he is quick to point out my errors and show me how to correct them"

Loved learning with him

"Iona had a fabulous lesson this afternoon. Please pass our thanks to Alex – she has loved learning with him and we’re hoping to do a few runs together tomorrow– we know that confidence is the key!"

Get to know Alex

I grew up in the Maritime Alps, where I discovered snowboarding at the age of 17, later than most of the instructors. When I first tried snowboarding, I thought, « Hey! I want to do this all day, every day, » and that’s what happened.
When I first started on the slopes, I had a great instructor who motivated me to share the experience with others. That’s when I decided to focus my career on helping people enjoy boarding.
Now, as a fully qualified snowboard instructor with three years of experience, I bring a unique perspective to the slopes. While I’ve never competed, I approach snowboarding with a focus on pure fun and adventure. In my free time, you’ll often find me exploring untouched powder off-piste, carving colourful lines on directional boards, or hitting the park for some creative jumps.
For me, the most rewarding part of being an instructor is the satisfaction it brings. There’s nothing better than seeing a client ride with a newfound joy and improved technique. I pride myself on clear communication, progressive teaching methods, and helping riders build their confidence. One of my students recently shared, “His instructions were very clear, and he gave great analogies. I felt very safe as his teaching is progressive, and he’s quick to point out errors and show how to correct them.” Hearing feedback like that is what keeps me passionate about what I do.
When I’m not snowboarding, I’m always chasing adventure, whether it’s skating, climbing, mountain biking, or touring on motorbikes. I grow blueberries with my girlfriend in the summer and love travelling to new destinations. A fun fact about me? I once rode an old Vespa all the way from the Alps to northern Pakistan, where I had the chance to share my love of snowboarding by teaching locals how to ride.
When you book a lesson with me, I aim to give you more than just snowboarding skills. You’ll gain confidence, unforgettable memories, and a true sense of joy on the slopes. I’d love to help you experience the magic of snowboarding.
