Get to know Alva

My name is Alva, and skiing has been a part of my life since I was almost two years old. My dad, a seasoned ski instructor himself, introduced me to the world of skiing, teaching me everything I know. Growing up in a quaint town in Sweden with two ski slopes and a lift, I was fortunate to experience skiing both in our local hills and in the magnificent mountains of Sweden and the Alps during family trips.

As a teenager, I began sharing my passion for skiing by working part-time as a ski instructor at my hometown slope, where I once took slalom lessons myself. After completing several Swedish ski instructor courses, I spent weekends on the slopes, helping kids as they discovered the joys of skiing. Upon graduation, I followed my heart to Austria, settling in my favorite mountain resort, St Anton.

In my free time, you can find me navigating the mountains, whether I’m perfecting my slopeside turns or diving into fresh powder off-piste. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of carving through untouched snow, a feeling that was epitomized during an unforgettable two-week adventure in Canada with my family. We celebrated my dad’s 50th birthday by exploring new mountains and chasing the best skiing experiences.

Beyond the ski season, I channel my energy into my role as an activity host for TUI abroad, spending last summer in Crete. I enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests, ensuring their holidays are as fun and relaxing as possible. When I’m not on the slopes or working, you’ll find me dancing, exploring nature on walks, working out at the gym, and cherishing moments with friends and family.
