Get to know Carlotta
Hi, I’m Carlotta, and I’m thrilled to share my love for skiing with you. Hailing from the beautiful city of Florence, Italy, my skiing journey began at the tender age of 3 during family holidays. My passion for the sport quickly grew, leading me to compete by the age of 5. I excelled in giant slalom and joined the regional team in Tuscany when I was 15. Over the years, I participated in numerous FIS and Italian competitions, eventually specializing in the exhilarating speed disciplines of Downhill and Super Giant.
At 18, a severe injury forced me to quit competing, but it also opened the door to a new path as a ski instructor. Despite doctors cautioning that I might not walk again, the unwavering support from my family and friends, along with my determination, helped me recover and continue skiing. Now, with 14 years of teaching experience under my belt, I hold the highest ski instructor qualification in Italy and a second-level coach qualification. I teach in Morzine, imparting my skills in piste skiing and race training in both English and Italian.
I became a ski instructor because I cherish the joy of skiing and love teaching others to enjoy the slopes with their loved ones. Coaching athletes and guiding them through competitions brings me immense satisfaction. My favorite part about being an instructor is sharing my knowledge and experience, helping others improve while having fun.
Outside of skiing, I indulge in reading, watching movies, and exploring new places. I also enjoy playing soccer, volleyball, and tennis. During the summer months, I work in Austria as a coach and assist in my family business.
One of my fondest memories is from my time as a part-time instructor in France. Every day on the slopes brings a new adventure, and I can’t wait to share that excitement with you.
