Get to know Nina

Hello, I’m Carolina Segala, but you can call me Nina. My journey with skiing began at the tender age of three, thanks to my supportive ski instructors, my ski club coaches, and of course, my parents. Although I grew up in Genova, my heart always found its way to the mountains during weekends and holidays. Competitive skiing has been a significant part of my life since I was six, allowing me to compete both nationally and internationally in special slalom, giant slalom, and occasionally super giant slalom. When I’m not on the competitive circuit, I find joy in the freedom of skiing in open fields.

Becoming a ski instructor was a natural step for me, as skiing is my greatest passion. I love meeting new people and sharing this passion with them. Teaching skiing at La Plagne and Les Arcs over the past two years has been incredibly rewarding. I’m qualified to teach piste skiing at all levels, and I offer instruction in English, French, and Italian.

When I’m not on the slopes, I keep busy with my university studies and enjoy a variety of summer activities. You might find me at the beach or engaging in different sports. I’m an avid cyclist and love athletics. I’m always eager to try new things, which keeps life exciting and fulfilling.

As an instructor, I strive to inspire my students by passing on my love for skiing and helping them discover the thrill and joy of the sport. I look forward to sharing my experience and enthusiasm with you on the slopes!
