Get to know me
Hello! I’m Cecilie Thomsen, though most people call me Cille. I learned to ski at the tender age of 3 or 4, taught by my father during our family vacations. Growing up in Denmark, my skiing experiences were rooted in our trips to Norway. Although I didn’t grow up skiing regularly, these family holidays sparked a passion that has persisted throughout my life.
I’ve been skiing on and off since I was four, and by the age of 14, I began exploring the possibility of becoming an instructor. In my free time, I love focusing on the details of skiing on the slopes and enjoy adventurous off-piste days with friends, exploring and creating memories. One of my best memories is a thrilling off-piste adventure where I double ejected out of my skis in deep snow—a moment of being stuck that was worth it for the rush and joy it brought me and my friends.
I became a ski instructor because I love the intricate details of skiing. The satisfaction of making small adjustments and improving my runs is deeply fulfilling. My favorite aspect of instructing is witnessing that moment when the changes we work on finally click for a guest, resulting in their happiness and newfound confidence.
A little-known fact about me is that I’m always cold, regardless of the skiing season! When I’m not on the slopes, I enjoy sailing as much as possible, spending quality time with friends and family, and indulging in my love for football, hockey, books, and movies.
