The best snowboarding lesson I’ve ever received

"The best snowboarding lesson I’ve ever received! Iain broke things down into fool-proof easy steps and was incredibly kind and patient. He slowed things right back down when it was icy and built up my confidence gradually. It was such fun and I felt safe and secure for the first time ever on my board. Thanks Iain!"

My instructor Iain was so kind

"I visited Courchevel and had 4 private snowboarding lessons with New generation in 1650. They were absolutely amazing ! My instructor Iain was so kind and so helpful and helped me learn and improve so fast in just 4 days. I would not recommend anyone else other than new generation. They really try and make everything perfect for you and care about your experience so much. Thank you guys so much, I can’t wait for my next lessons with you!"

An absolutely top man

"Two experiences. I had private snowboard lessons with Iain. An absolutely top man. I'm a 59 yr old intermediate boarder and he structured the lesson and instruction to perfectly suit my aspirations. Friendly, professional and all I could have asked for. Similarly, my wife and her friend had ski lessons with Ludo for four days and their feedback was off the scale in regards to quality, enthusiasm, charm and professionalism. We would recommend new generation unreservedly."

Get to know Iain

Hi, I’m Iain, a ski and snowboard instructor with over 45 years of experience. Growing up near the slopes of Glencoe Ski Resort in Scotland, this is where I first strapped on skis at the age of 12. Taught by a mix of mentors, I quickly fell in love with the slopes, pursuing ski racing at a club level—before switching gears to compete in snowboarding at a British level back in the day.

Now, you’ll typically find me freeriding whenever I get some downtime. For me, the best moments are about the people—anytime, anywhere, with good friends and in the snow when there’s plenty of powder.

I love all aspects of ski instructing. Whether I’m out guiding on the mountain or in the office filling out forms for our off-snow team, I’m always more than happy to help.

There’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone go from never having touched snow to confidently gliding down a slope with a massive grin. When I’m not skiing or teaching, you might catch me sailing, cycling, or even swimming.
