My Story
I grew up in both Hungary and Austria. I discovered the world of extreme sports at 8 by skiing in the eastern Austrian mountains. Since then, I have felt the need and pull from this world and have had an endless love for the realm of mountains, rock, and ice. This grew as the years passed, and at age 12, I started climbing. I quickly learned this sport to the high end as racing for years in Bouldering, Speed Climbing and Lead climbing in several cities in Austria and Hungary. At age 14, I moved from indoor climbing to rock climbing while only attending races in indoor climbing. Most of my years as a teenager were spent like this: skiing in the winter time, moving to bigger and bigger resorts from east to west Austria up to Hintertux resort, and climbing higher, longer and more complicated rock routes the rest of the year, spiced up with occasional races indoors.
When I turned 20, I realised that no University interested me, and I wanted to stay and work in the mountains, so I decided to become a Ski Instructor. Around the same time, I started with Alpine mountaineering, first in Austria, then in France and Switzerland. I have been teaching skiing in Verbier and Zermatt for many seasons.
Skiing and Climbing/Mountaineering are a lifestyle for me, not a hobby.
