Excellent off piste lesson

"I had an excellent off piste lesson with Carlos yesterday. He explained everything very well and I definitely came away with a better understanding of what I should be doing."

wish I had plans to go back just to learn more from him

"My partner and I had the pleasure of having Carlos Gomez as our instructor at the opening of the season back in December. We both had skied before a number of times, but I am plagued with fear most days and my partner just can't get the turns quite right. Carlos was able to lead us down the mountain (at the same time!) with much success. He gave me great confidence, and tips on how to ski better so that I could develop that confidence and trust in it. For my partner, he expertly critiqued his form until it greatly improved. And, we liked him so much for the day we had our private lesson scheduled, that we booked him again impromptu for two days later! On this last day, he had me going down a black without tears and without falling! Highly recommend and wish I had plans to go back just to learn more from him!"

Get to Know Me

Hi, I’m Carlos. Thanks to the fantastic instructors at my local ski school, I learned to ski when I was just 5 years old. Growing up, my family and I spent all our ski holidays in the beautiful Sierra Nevada, Granada. Eventually, I joined a ski club and even competed around Spain for a season.

I’m passionate about freeride skiing and love exploring new areas of the mountains with friends, always pushing our limits to become better skiers. One of my best skiing memories is skiing during the sunset in Verbier—there’s truly nothing like it.
Becoming a ski instructor was a natural choice for me because it allows me to ski all the time and share my passion with others. My favourite part of being an instructor is chatting with my customers on the chairlift and having a great day of skiing together while discovering the resort.

When I’m not skiing, I stay around Verbier working various jobs. This past summer, I worked in the ski factory of Simply, a handmade ski brand from Switzerland. Outside of skiing, my biggest passion is surfing. I spend my summers in the north of Spain, exploring the wild coast of Asturias with my friends.

In addition to my skiing qualifications, I also hold a degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Marketing and Graphic Design.
