Get to know Luca

Hi, I’m Luca, and skiing has been a part of my life since I was a mere three years old. Growing up near the breathtaking Dolomites in northeast Italy, I was fortunate to have the majestic mountains as my playground. My father, a dedicated ski instructor and coach, introduced me to the slopes, instilling in me a deep love for skiing that has shaped my life.

From a young age, I immersed myself in Giant Slalom races throughout my region, honing my skills and building a strong foundation in the sport. Although I didn’t venture onto the international circuits, the experience was invaluable and fueled my passion for skiing. My heart, however, finds joy in freeriding off-piste during my free time, where the thrill of carving fresh tracks in untouched snow is unparalleled.

One of my most cherished memories on skis is passing the rigorous selection process to become a ski instructor. The day was filled with excitement and smiles, marking a significant milestone in my journey. Inspired by my dad, I became an instructor to share the joys of skiing with others, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a beginner’s face light up with newfound confidence and passion.

Outside of skiing, I lead a vibrant life. I help my mother with her shop during the summer months, and I am an avid traveller. Music and painting fulfil my creative side, while mountain biking and hiking keep me connected to nature. Though my formal education concluded with a primary school diploma, my learning journey continues on the slopes and beyond.

A little-known fact about me is my love for writing—my secret dream is to publish a book one day. Until then, I’m committed to sharing my skiing expertise and enthusiasm with my students, helping them carve their own paths in the snow.
