My only regret is that I didn’t book more lessons. Thank you, Marco!

"This is my third year of having lessons with New Gen in Val D but my first time being taught by Marco. I have a severe phobia of heights which Marco understood straight away. I feel as though he struck the right balance between pushing me to conquer the fear but not so much that I would lose my confidence. He gave my lots of coping strategies to change my thought processes and improve my technique and I employed these when I was skiing on my own later in the week. My only regret is that I didn’t book more lessons. Thank you, Marco!"

Get to know Marco

I started skiing at the tender age of 2, thanks to my first instructors, Gigi and Beppe, who nurtured my love for the sport. Growing up in the beautiful town of Susa, Italy, I had the privilege of being surrounded by stunning mountains. From ages 5 to 19, I competed up to the FIS level before transitioning from racing to teaching, which has been my passion for the past 22 years. In my free time, I enjoy a mix of piste performance, freeride, and simply cruising to discover the best lunch spots. One of my best skiing memories is those summer training mornings on top of glaciers. Becoming a ski instructor has been my dream since I was 5, and there’s nothing better than seeing the happy faces of guests when they overcome their fears. Interestingly, I have a fear of heights! However, it’s surprising that I’m not scared when riding a gondola or chairlift. During the summer, I take on the role of Race Director for the Jet Ski Aquabike World Championship. When I’m not on the slopes, I love traveling, boating, jet skiing, wakeboarding, and wake surfing. I also studied International and Diplomatic Sciences at university but ended up dropping out just before my final exam!
