Master Your Skills, Conquer the Slopes

Moving from beginner to intermediate opens the door to new experiences and allows you to experience the mountain fully, but it can be daunting.

You’ll be guided through this exciting phase by our experienced team. They’ll share personalised feedback and advanced strategies to take your skiing to the next level. With our small groups and focused coaching sessions, you’ll improve quickly and always be supported. Throughout the week, you’ll unlock new areas of the mountain and experience the true freedom of skiing.

Level 3 Adult Group lesson

Are you comfortable on blue runs and no longer a plough turner but not entirely parallel? If that sounds like you we highly recommend joining our Level 3 adult group lessons. We perform exercises and drills in these sessions to get your skis closer together and more in line. Alongside bringing your skis into parallel, we’ll start to pick up the pace and practice traversing and stopping with our skis straight.

As the group starts to progress we’ll move onto different, more challenging terrain to help you navigate all conditions.

Level 4 Adult Group Lesson

If you can consistently perform basic parallel turns and feel happy on groomed red runs, our level 4 group is right for you. In these group sessions, you will begin to speed up the pace and ensure your skis are parallel throughout the whole turn.

We’ll begin to play around with turn shape and turn size and get to grips with what our poles are for. We’ll progress onto different terrains and learn how to navigate bumpy, chopped-up snow or icy sections. Overall, we want to improve your confidence and teach you the skills to navigate the whole mountain, no matter the conditions.

Intermediate Piste Performance

In these sessions, we will focus on personal performance and goal setting, helping you assess your current abilities and establish clear objectives for improvement. We’ll delve into building balance by learning how to effectively engage your ankles, knees, and hips. Understanding the mechanics of steering movements will be essential, as we’ll explore what makes a ski turn and the aspects we can control to enhance our technique.

Additionally, we’ll work on transitioning from outside ski to outside ski to promote a more dynamic skiing style. You’ll also learn about output focus, including key performance indicators and strategies for self-training. Finally, we’ll cover the importance of timing and coordination, discussing when and why to apply these skills for optimal performance on the slopes.

Tips for Intermediate Ski Lessons

Be open minded and try new techniques when suggested by the instructor. The new sensations will feel odd, but that means change it happening.
Let the intructor know if you have a specific goal in mind, as they can tailor the lesson to your needs.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

What to Bring

When attending our Advanced Ski Lessons, you’ll need to have finely tuned piste skis. When in the rental shop, or buying skis choose a specific piste performance ski that has a narrow waist and a small turn radius. Ensure your skis have sharp edges to enable you to perform better on the snow. We advise you to wear a helmet too, as you’ll be skiing at speed and trying new techniques.
