Welcome to our guide to skiing Peisey Vallandry, which has all the essential information to help make your ski trip memorable. This guide will advise you on the best lunch spots on the mountain, hidden gems, and where to get your live music fix. It will also give you our pick of the best slopes, from beginner to off-piste.

You’ll have access to one of Europe’s most extensive ski areas, the Paradiski area, which links to Peisey Vallandry. Peisey Vallandry’s location offers easy access to both La Plagne and Les Arcs ski resorts. Peisey Vallandry comprises four main villages linked via free bus and ski lifts: Nancroix, Peisey, Plan Peisey, and Vallandry.

4 Traditional Alpine Villages

Peisey is a charming and tranquil village at 1350m. Alongside the town hall, you’ll find a delightful array of shops—from cheese shops to the cosy bakery and everything in between. It’s a wonderful place for all your needs. Peisey is a family-friendly village due to its location to the main resort, using the Lozange lift. Affectionately called ‘The Lobster Pots’ by locals, you can take the free bus.

Nancroix, a charming alpine village nestled at 1400m, has a rich history rooted in the love for cross-country skiing. In the 1960s, the forest warden’s passion sparked the transformation of Nancroix into the gateway of the breathtaking Nordic area of Haute Tarentaise. Embracing this legacy, Nancroix continues to captivate holidaymakers with its natural beauty and world-class skiing opportunities.

Further up the mountain in Plan Peisey at 1650m, with all the new infrastructure, there are plenty of places to stay and lovely restaurants to try. Between here and Vallandry, you’ll find the Vanoise Express, a double-decker cable car that connects the Les Arcs ski area to the La Plagne ski area.

Vallandry is nestled at 1600m in the centre of the resort, next to the forest. It offers a mix of residences and cottages blending with the natural surroundings. Situated along a charming road, each offers magnificent views and favourable sunlight. To the northwest, you’ll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Mont Blanc.
