We’ve been one of the top rated ski schools St Martin for the past few years. For beginners, St Martin wouldn’t be our first choice, but as soon as you’ve your feet and are feeling confident, there is so much terrain to explore in the Three Valleys. If you’re looking to visit the Three Valleys as a beginner skier, we’d recommend Val Thorens, Meribel or Courchevel over St Martin.

You’ll be amazed by how far you can travel, how quiet it is and how quickly you can access new terrain with the up to date lift system in the Three Valleys. Not to mention the breathtaking mountain views!

If you’re looking for group lessons, private ski or snowboard lessons or private ski instructors then we can help. With our experience and passion for the area, we can help you develop your love of skiing. We also offer ski touring sessions, off-piste and more is you and your family are more advanced skiers. Saint Martin de Belleville is 1450m altitude. But most of the skiing is higher, closer to 2000m.

Considering the resort is part of the 3 Valleys (largest ski area in the world) St Martin de Belleville offers fantastic value for money. The charming village feel makes for an intimate stay whilst giving you access to the world’s best skiing. Name a better scenario?

As the years go by, there are more and more high end apartments popping up in St Martin, but the snow front with local restaurants offering typical French cuisine from the valley makes you feel at home straight away.

If you do want to visit St Martin de Belleville on a budget, choose a self catered apartment and visit the snack style bars for lunch or take a picnic. Eating out on the mountain is always more expensive, as well as staying in catered private chalets.

St Martin, the charming alpine village in the Belleville Valley usually opens for skiing in early – mid December. Consult the official opening and closing dates on the official Saint Martin de belleville website.

The village resort itself sits at 1450m, so it’s not as high as neighbouring resorts such as Meribel Mottaret and Val Thorens. Later into the spring the snow does disappear quickly, but the good news is that most of the skiing from St Martin is much higher over 2000m, meaning it sticks around for longer up in the mountains. It might just get a bit patchy lower down in the town.

You also have access to the largest ski area in the world, the Three Valleys so there is always plenty to explore, and the resort always ensures you can still move between villages until the resort officially closes.
