Geneva airport is the closest major airport to Verbier. Geneva to Verbier takes approximately 2 hours (161km) depending on weather conditions and snow fall. Verbier has a reputation for being a high-end party resort, but it is fantastic for families and young children as there’s so much going on. The best time to ski in Verbier is dependent on personal preference however January has the highest average monthly snowfall (115cm) and February has the deepest average snow base depth (58cm).

French is the local language in Verbier. Verbier is however a highly multicultural destination where English is widely spoken.
